We’re thrilled to announce that local author Chloe Daykin has a new book being published, entitled Fire Girl, Forest Boy. We'll be hosting a launch party with Chloe here at Cogito on Tuesday 9th July, 6-7pm, everyone is welcome to join us for an opportunity to chat to Chloe, have a copy of the book signed and of course enjoy a slice of celebratory cake!

Chloe’s debut, Fish Boy, received huge critical acclaim (and is a big favourite here too!) and her second book, The Boy Who hit Play, further emphasised Chloe’s status as a new talent on the children's writing scene.  

Fire Girl, Forest Boy is full of magic and adventure, set in the Peruvian rainforest, where ancient myths stand alongside the modern world. We meet Maya and Raul as they navigate their individual journeys and when their paths collide, we discover this is a book about light, belief and unlocking your own potential.

As well as the book launch, Chloe will once again be creating a wonderful, bespoke window display for us here at the bookshop on Tuesday 2nd July. We’re so excited about this and we hope that Chloe’s many fans will be too!!
